Pacey winger Chris Lomax joined the club in September 2016 alongside brother George.

Chris had a stint at Atherton LR before moving to Runcorn Linnets in March 2013 although he wasn't involved in Linnets' North West Counties League Challenge Cup success over Formby.

Two fruitful seasons followed at Linnets with two second-placed finishes in the Premier Division as Joey Dunn's side were twice pipped to the title by Norton United and Glossop North End.

Chris moved to Barnton in August 2015 where he quickly established himself as first-choice under Leon Knight. Knight's departure coupled with a loss of form meant that Chris found himself on the outside looking in as Danny Meadowcroft and Brian Pritchard guided the Villagers to promotion via the play-offs and victory in the First Division Cup.

This reinvigorated the winger who began the 2016/17 season at St Helens Town before moving to Widnes.

Chris began life at Widnes in impressive fashion, scoring back-to-back hat-tricks at Whitchurch Alport and FC Oswestry Town as he was named First Division Player of the Month for October.

Chris finished the season with 18 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions.

His performances early in the 2017/18 season prompted a move to Marine on a dual registration deal, linking up with brother George once again. However, after being in and out of the side with the Mariners, Chris committed his short-term future to Widnes.
