Biography

Michael is a former Manchester United trainee who has ample non-league experience having previously played as high as the National League.

'Grogs' is is known for his versatility and is equally comfortable operating at full-back, centre-back and in midfield.

He signed for Widnes in 2017 on a dual registration deal from Marine, linking up with Steve Akrigg who was a teammate of Grogan's at AFC Telford United.

He scored 15 goals for the Bucks in the 2013-14 season, in which Telford won the Conference North title.

Grogan made his debut for Widnes in the 2-1 victory over Runcorn Town in November 2017, producing a Man of the Match display alongside Mike Burke at the heart of the defence.
