Widnes to entertain Clitheroe in FA Trophy

Widnes have been handed a home tie against Clitheroe in the first qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Trophy.

The Whites edged past Skelmersdale United on penalties at this stage last season, before crashing out at Macclesfield in the second qualifying round.

Standing in their way are fellow NPL West side Clitheroe, who reached the third qualifying round stage last season.

The winners of the tie will be rewarded with a trip to Brighouse Town or Hebburn Town in the second qualifying round.
