Widnes have won the Northern Premier League West division title after a 1-0 win over Trafford at the DCBL Stadium.

A club record crowd of 882 watched the Whites secure promotion and the championship with Harry McGee scoring a 67th minute winner.

The Whites have now won three promotions in eight years and will play at Step 3 for the first time and now look forward to fixtures against the likes of Warrington Town and FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
