Widnes Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of defender James McCulloch.
The centre-back joins from Prescot Cables and is available for selection in tomorrow's FA Trophy tie against Brighouse Town.
The 31-year-old spent over 10 years with Cables, playing over 400 times and captaining the side to two Liverpool Senior Cup triumphs in 2017 and 2018.
McCulloch was a teammate of Widnes boss Dave Dempsey during the latter's time as a player at Prescot, and his move to the DCBL Stadium represents a real coup for the Whites.
Dempsey said: "I played with Kirky for many years - he's a born winner with so much experience at this level of football.
"Securing his signature is a huge for us. He'll be a massive addition to this group of players both on and off the pitch.
"The players have taken to him already and I am looking forward to working with him moving forward.
Welcome to Widnes, Kirky!
