Midfielder becomes Widnes' seventh summer signing

Widnes Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Fisnik Hajdari.

The midfielder has penned terms at the Halton Stadium ahead of the 2019/20 Northern Premier League season, joining from Welsh Premier League side Cefn Druids.

The 22-year-old will make his first foray into senior English football after spending his entire career thus far in the Welsh leagues.

Hajdari spent four seasons with Druids, initially signing on loan from TNS in the 2015 before that deal was made permanent the following summer.

He made his debut for the 13-time Welsh Champions towards the end of the 2013-14 season, and has played in Europe for both clubs.

'Fiz' has appeared in six games in pre-season for Widnes, and is sure to boost competition for places in midfield for co-bosses Steve Akrigg and Kev Towey.

He will make history should he be selected for Widnes' trip to Ramsbottom United on Saturday, becoming the first Kosovan-born player to feature for the Whites.
