A former teammate of Matty Rain and Jack McGowan, Peterson is also the record goalscorer at City of Liverpool, winning two promotions, the North West Counties League and First Division Cups with the Purps.

Peterson has scored once in 14 games for Bootle this season, but has been limited to just seven starts under manager Mick McGraa.
