Widnes Football Club can confirm the permanent signing of defender Louis Isherwood.

The 21-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan from Chorley and has now completed a permanent move to the DCBL Stadium following the expiry of his Magpies contract.

Isherwood made 21 appearances for the club last season in all competitions, scoring once.

He began his career at Wigan Athletic and has featured for both Bootle and City of Liverpool on loan.
