Widnes Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of forward James Steele.
The 23-year-old has agreed to return to the DCBL Stadium following his departure from City of Liverpool earlier this week.
Steelie initially joined the club from Newcastle Town in the summer of 2019 and went on to make 62 appearances before departing in December 2021, scoring 12 goals.
He had a brief spell at Runcorn Linnets under Calum McIntyre before joining the Purps in February 2022, where was signed by Michael Ellison.
James played 45 times for City of Liverpool, including 33 games this season, finding the net nine times.
He is eligible to face Ramsbottom United on Saturday, a side he has scored five goals against in three fixtures this season.
Welcome back, Steelie!
