Widnes Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of striker Jack McGowan.

The 30-year-old arrives from Bootle and is available to face Emley in the Emirates FA Cup tomorrow.

An experienced goalscorer, Jack has spent six years with the Bucks and has previously featured for Cammell Laird at Step 4.

Since Bootle's promotion to the Northern Premier League West in 2021, Jack has scored 29 goals in 83 games, including two hat-tricks.

Jack's arrival strengthens Michael Ellison's attacking options as the Whites look to consolidate their impressive start to the new season.

He joins a changing room with many familiar faces having previously been a teammate of Jay Roberts, Louis Isherwood and Will Bell.

The Club would like to thank Bootle for their cooperation and help in getting this deal over the line in time for Jack to be involved in the FA Cup.
