A versatile defender who can also play in midfield, Sam possesses impressive pedigree having progressed through the youth ranks at Fleetwood Town, turning professional in 2021.

He then enjoyed loan spells with both Farsley Celtic and Hyde United before signing permanently for Stockport County in the summer of 2023.

Sam spent the first half of last season on loan at Stafford Rangers, making 26 appearances and scoring once before moving to Scottish side Stirling Albion, permanently, in January 2024.

He signed for Chorley last summer after impressing during pre-season on trial.
