Wingers Bradley Williams and Bradley Woods, and goalkeepers Gage Walsh and Jack Cookson sealed moves to the Select Security Stadium, just days after Dunn completed the signing of duo Alex Davies and Jay Roberts who both featured in Tuesday's win at Holker Old Boys.

And the Whites boss is pleased to have secured their signatures.

"We took the opportunity to strengthen the squad for the run-in," Dunn said.

"Alex Davies has returned to the Widnes following spells at Skelmersdale and Marine. Anyone who was at Holker on Tuesday will understand why we were so keen to get him in when we got word that he may be available.

"He is a real livewire of a player and I think it was only the pitch at Holker that prevented him from opening his scoring account on more than one occasion.

"Jay Roberts is a player that I originally signed at Linnets in the summer and I am surprised that they let him go to be honest.

"He is a really strong full-back who has great feet and energy, so he'll give us some real quality in those areas.

"Goalkeeper Jack Cookson is someone I have looked to sign previously and I have monitored his performances from afar.

"I feel that, like Owen (Wheeler), he is going to be a real top keeper when he matures, but he is at present a relatively experienced 'keeper for a young man, so we welcome him to the Club.

"Bradley Williams has signed to provide depth in the wide areas.

"He is a very direct and quick winger who will look to provide ammunition for the forwards in the run-in.

"Likewise, young winger Bradley Woods is a talented player who has joined with a view to providing depth for this season and looking to push on throughout the summer and next season."

Manager Dunn also commented on Danny Laverty's return to the squad in recent weeks, and declared the former Barnton man as a "massive asset" as the season winds down.

He said: "We welcomed Danny back in the squad recently after he was unable to commit due to work issues earlier in the season.

"He is again someone with prodigious talent and pace. He'll be a massive asset for us in the last few weeks of the season."

With promotion the target, Dunn now believes that he has assembled a squad that is not only good enough, but big enough to challenge and cope with the tough run of fixtures coming thick and fast during the last month of the season.

"We have now got a squad that I believe is now big enough in depth to cater for the remaining 11 games," Dunn said.

"People will know that the positive pressure of having quality replacements should push them on to perform on a regular basis when selected.

"With the short turnaround between games, we should have the wherewithal in terms of numbers to cope with the games that are now coming thick and fast."
