Widnes Football Club is pleased to announce the signings of Connor McCarthy and Nelson Digebu.
Connor, 27, is well-known to the club having made a handful of appearances for the Whites on dual-registration under Steve Hill in both the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.
The striker (pictured) has agreed a switch to the DCBL Stadium from City to Liverpool to reunite for a third time with manager Michael Ellison and is eligible for today’s game against Newcastle Town.
He has spent the majority of the campaign on dual registration at Lower Breck, scoring six goals in 17 games.
Connor also lists Prescot Cables, Skelmersdale United, Southport, AFC Telford United, FC United of Manchester, Warrington Town and Runcorn Linnets amongst his former clubs.
Midfielder Digbeu, 25, arrives from Pilkington where has made seven appearances this term, scoring once.
The Frenchman also lists Bradford Park Avenue and Ashton United amongst his former clubs, as well as Chauvigny in his native country.
Nelson is also eligible to face Newcastle Town today.
The Club would like to wish James McCulloch, Luke Sephton and Max Bardsley-Rowe the very best in the future as the trio secured moves away this week.
McCulloch and Sephton have signed for Vauxhall Motors and Northwich Victoria respectively, while Bardsley-Rowe has returned to parent club Macclesfield after being recalled from his loan
