River Humphreys

Biography: Previously a runner-up on TV competition Wayne Rooney's Street Striker, River began his footballing career as an academy player firstly at Everton, before moving on to Wrexham.

River then had a spell at Warrington Town under Joey Dunn before signing for AFC Liverpool in 2013, where he made over 100 appearances.

He linked up with Joey again in 2014, signing for Runcorn Linnets where he was voted Supporters' Player of the Year following the 2015/16 season.

River, 26, was crowned winner of the Fiat Professional Tradesman Trials 2016. The competition aimed to find a current tradesman who has the talent to make it as a professional footballer in the English Football League.

River elected to spend his one-month trial with League One club Rochdale, featuring in a number of pre-season friendlies.

Following the conclusion of his trial, River had two brief spells in the Welsh Premier League at Cefn Druids and then Bangor City, before signing for Widnes in December 2016, linking up with manager Joey Dunn for a third time.
River Humphreys made no appearances during this season.
