Widnes Football Club can today confirm the the Club’s full pre-season schedule of friendlies in preparation for the 2018/19 Evo-Stik League Division One West season.

Gresford Athletic v Widnes, Tuesday 24th July - TBC
Runcorn Linnets v Widnes, Saturday 28th July - 3pm (NWCFL Champions Cup)
Billinge v Widnes, Tuesday 31st July - TBC
St Mary's AFC v Widnes, Saturday 11th August - 2pm

Southport will visit the Halton Stadium on Friday 13th July as Widnes' pre-season campaign gets underway against the National League North side. Liam Watson's Sandgrounders were thrashed 5-1 by Steve Akrigg and Kev Towey's men in the Liverpool Senior Cup last season.

That match is quickly followed with a trip to the TDP Solicitors' Stadium to renew acquaintances with Phil Stafford's Bootle on Tuesday 17th July before heading to North West Counties newboys Ashton Town on Saturday 21st July.

Widnes head to Wales on Tuesday 24th July to take on Gresford Athletic before contesting the North West Counties League Champions Cup in a Halton Derby clash with Runcorn Linnets four days later.

Cheshire League Premier Division side Billinge provide the opposition on Tuesday 31st July, before Widnes head to The Isle of Man for a friendly with Douglas-based side St Mary's on Saturday 11th August.
