Widnes allocated a place in the newly named Evo-Stik League North West Division

Following meetings of The FA’s Alliance and Leagues Committees, the club allocations for Steps 1 to 6 of the National League System for season 2019-20 have now been confirmed.

Widnes have been allocated a place in the Evo-Stik League Division One North West after a 12th placed finish in their debut campaign at Step 4 last season.

While Widnes will renew acquaintances with neighbours Runcorn Linnets and Prescot Cables, the Whites will face a number of new sides after a slight restructure of the divisions at Step 4.

Brighouse Town, Marske United, Ossett United, Pickering Town, Pontefract Collieries and Tadcaster Albion have been laterally moved from the Evo-Stik West Division, while Dunston UTS and City of Liverpool have been promoted from the Northern League and North West Counties League respectively.

Elsewhere, Marine and Workington join the division after relegation from the Evo-Stik League Premier Division last season.

Skelmersdale United have been relegated to the North West Counties Premier Division, while Kendal Town have been handed a relegation reprieve.

Meanwhile, Colwyn Bay resigned from the league to join the Welsh Pyramid, while Chasetow, Glossop North End, Kidsgrove Athletic, Leek Town, Market Drayton Town and Newcastle Town have all been laterally moved to the Evo-Stik League Division One South East.

The constitution of the Evo-Stik League Division One North West for the 2019-20 season is as follows:
