Widnes Vikings came from behind on two occasions to secure a hard fought 3-3 draw with Ashton Town on Tuesday night.

Despite going 2-0 down in the early stages of the first-half, Steve Hill's side forced their way back into the game with goals from Ronnie McCarthy and Dave Wilson.
Ashton Town regained the lead just past the hour mark before Lee Hughes equalised for Widnes ten minutes later to earn his side a well deserved point.
The result gives the Vikings their first point of the season after they suffered an opening day 3-1 defeat at the hands of Cheadle Town on Saturday.
"When it was 2-0 obviously we thought the worst but the lads showed a lot of character to come back and we ended up taking the game to them," Hill said.
"It would have been a good game for the neutral, it was certainly an exciting game.
"The most important goal for us was when we got it back to 2-1 and it seemed to settle us down.
"At half-time we asked them to work a little bit harder and press a bit harder to force the game.
"I hope we can kick on from here.
"As the season progresses I think we will grow as a team and we do need to kick on."
The game started brightly from both sides but it was Ashton who took the initiative with two goals mid-way through the first-half.
McCarthy latched onto an excellent through ball and with only the keeper to beat a second opportunity fell kindly to him and he unduly finished the move off.
Widnes were dragged back into the game after just ten minutes of the second half played when Wilson drew his side level.
With confidence in full flow the Vikings laid siege on the Town goal but were caught cold when Jordan Lorde put his side back in front.
However, the substitute Hughes levelled things up again with an unstoppable strike after he cut in from the left side.
The atmosphere in the dressing room is very positive following the draw and Hill will be hoping his side can gather momentum with Northwich Flixton Villa up next.
James Thomas and David Wilson picked up minor knocks but should be fit enough for the game on Saturday.
"After the game on Tuesday the atmosphere in the dressing room was really good," Hill added.
"It's our first away game but the lads are very positive and we just look forward to every game and take it to them, if we pick up where we left off on Tuesday then we will be fine.
The next home game at Select Security Stadium is Rochdale Town on Saturday 17th August, 3pm kick off – Adults £5 Conc £3
