Vikings FC were taking part in the clubs first non-league day event at Semi-Professional level, it turned out to be a day which wont live long in the memory of all at Widnes Vikings FC.
A poor performance all round gave the visiting team from Cumbria the 3 points which took them above the Vikings FC in the league table.
First half goals from Liam Shields and an Own Goal gave Holker a comfortable lead heading into the second period and too much for the black and whites to get anything from the game.
A spirited second half performance couldn't break down a steady Holker defence, possibly one goal for the Vikings FC could have changed the complex of the game but it wasn't to be on this occasion.
With 3 consecutive away games coming up it will need a much better performance on Saturday away at Leek CSOB to get back into winning ways, this is then followed up by a trip to league leaders Hanley Town and finally Cheadle Town before ending the month with a Home game against Atherton Collieries.
