New NPLFA programme find out opponents ahead of debut season

The allocations for the new Northern Premier League Football Academy season have been confirmed, with Widnes placed in the newly named Sports Traider Division ahead of their debut campaign.

Widnes have been paired with the academies of Division One West rivals Mossley and Radcliffe, with further trips as far south as Loughborough Dynamo and Sutton Coldfield Town amongst the other eight teams in the division.

Teams will play each other home and away, with the two divisional winners progressing to the Grand Final for the chance to lift the 'The Jordan Burndred Memorial Fund for CRY' trophy and become 2018/19 champions.

Warrington Town are the current holders having beat Matlock Town in the 2018 Grand Final earlier this year.

League fixtures for both divisions will be released later today, with Widnes' debut campaign getting underway on Wednesday 12th September.
