An ideal opportunity to get involved with a growing and ambitious non-league football club

There a currently a number of vacancies at Widnes Football Club as we continue to build towards the start of the new Hallmark Security League Premier Division season.

More information about current opportunities can be found below:

Videographer

The Club are looking to recruit a Videographer for the upcoming season.

This post is on a voluntary basis and is an excellent opportunity for a Videographer looking to return to the game or perhaps a college or university looking to pursue a career in Media Studies, Cinematography or any other relevant field.

The role involves attending home matches (approx. 25-30 matches, usually played on Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings) and producing a highlights package for our club website and social media channels. The Videographer is trusted with full editorial control over the layout and content of the footage.

Previous camera work and video editing experience is preferred but not essential, however an effective understanding of videoing sports footage in varying conditions and at least basic understanding of video editing software are obviously essential.

The Videographer will require his/her own video camera and computer equipped with all relevant pieces of software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or any other suitable program.

There is also the opportunity to video our away games, however this depends on the availability of our Videographer and also depends on the hosts own policies regarding visiting cameramen.

Graphic Designer

The Club are also seeking a Graphic Designer to produce content for the Club's social media channels, official website and relevant marketing material.

This post is on a voluntary basis and would be a fantastic opportunity for a graphic designer to get involved with an ambitious non-league football club or a college or university student studying graphic design.

Duties would include producing content such as posters, GIFs, web banners and various other pieces of content that have a high visual impact. The role would also involve liaising with the rest of the media team to produce creative content.

Guidance will be given as to the content required but a basic understanding of photo-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop is essential. The graphic designer is also required to have his/her own computer with relevant software equipped.

Aside from the roles above, any potential volunteers with anything to offer the club are welcome to get involved.

To apply or if you require more information, email a brief outline of your skills to Chairman Ian Ross - ian@hallmark-security.com.
