Important advice for supporters travelling to Droylsden

By Callum Chadwick

Plan ahead and allow more time for travel on Saturday as Widnes face Droylsden

Widnes FC supporters travelling to Droylsden for the Evo-Stik Division One West clash on Saturday (20th October) are advised to plan ahead and allow more time for travel.

Demonstrations and local events in the Greater Manchester area means journey times for all road users are likely to increase.

There are numerous events around the city centre, including the Taekwondo World Grand Prix, Manchester City's Premier League fixture at home to Burnley and a University of Manchester Open Day.

Elsewhere, a demonstration is taking place in Piccadilly Gardens and All Saints Park will host the 10th Day Peace Walk.

In addition, there is industrial action taking place on Northern Rail services, meaning there will be a limited service from 7am to 7pm on the day.
